Join us for an intimate gathering at Plum Market West Bloomfield – we’ll taste the current
offerings from Staglin Family Vineyard, guided by Director of Winemaking, Frederick Johanssen,
as well as a Staglin ‘Library Selection’ Cabernet Sauvignon, demonstrating how well these
beautiful wines age. Staglin has long been admired for its gorgeous estate Rutherford Bench
Cabernets. The 61-acre property, certified organic, lies at the base of the tallest peak in the
Mayacamas Range. Before Shari and Garen Staglin purchased the estate in 1985, the vineyards
were replanted under the direction of André Tchelistcheff, to be included in BV’s ‘Georges de
Latour’ Private Reserve label. Frederick Johanssen has been Staglin’s winemaker for 16 years,
collaborating with legendary consultant Michel Rolland, and acclaimed vineyard manager
David Abreu. It is worth noting that the Staglin family is deeply committed to community causes,
directly contributing nearly 1 billion dollars to charity efforts over the years.
