2015 Domaine Ganevat Cotes du Jura 'Les Chalasse' Vieilles Vignes 1.5L
Winemaker Notes: Les Chalasses Marnes Bleues is produced from the Savagnin Vert grape and matured in demi-muid barrels, and is ullaged (not oxidised). The result is a wine of great freshness, with mango and pineapple aromas enhanced with chalky notes. The palate is a perfect balance between richness and tautness, with impressive length.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "Super closed and austere, and from the same terroir as the Cuvée Marguerite, the 2015 Les Chalasses Vieilles Vignes is planted on classical Triassic marl (marnes) soils. It always has the concentration and clout of the old vines, and in 2015 it's specially powerful, yet fresh and balanced, in an XL way. It has pungent acidity and a very tasty finish. It's a textbook example of what the 2015 whites from Ganevat are: a rare combination of incredible power and freshness. (93-94pts)"
