‘Natural Wine’ is a term that sparks passionate discussions among wine enthusiasts. While it lacks an official or regulated definition, it generally refers to wines made using simple or traditional methods, with a focus on minimal intervention.
Here are key points that we’ll explore:
• Small-scale, independent growers
• Sustainable, organic, and/or biodynamic viticulture
• Minimal additives, including sulfites and cultured yeast
• Funky/yeasty/gamey aromas and flavors, sometimes but not always present!
Our Tasting Adventure will include: Orange Wine, Georgian amber wine, Pét-Nat sparkling, Portuguese amphora wine, The Gang of Four’s Cru Beaujolais, wine from natural wine specialist Louis Dressner, and much more. Join us in exploring this intriguing world!
