There’s nothing like blind tasting to level the playing field! The quality of
Michigan wine has been on a vertical climb for decades. But don’t take
our word for it – we’re hosting a mano-a-mano tasting of 8 cool climate
varietals, grown with great success in Michigan, against primo European
examples that are comparably priced. Your vote will determine the results,
plain and simple! We’ll showcase varietals such as Pinot Grigio, Grüner
Veltliner, Kerner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay, Blaufrankisch, and
Cabernet Franc. The Michigan contenders come from accomplished
wineries such as Good Harbor, Left Foot Charley, Mari, Marland, bigLITTLE,
Shady Lane, and Modales, representing the appellations of Lake Michigan
Shore, Fennville, Leelanau Peninsula and Old Mission Peninsula. This will
be too much fun - picking out the Michigan wines will not be as easy as
you think, and the results are not a foregone conclusion…
